South End School rescues QECH

South End Primary School in Blantyre has pledged to buy medicines worth over K300 000 (US$730) for the paediatric ward at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH). Head teacher Logan Rangasami made the pledge on Monday during the school’s 11th Awards and Cultural Evening, which also doubled as the institution’s golden jubilee celebrations. He said it will be the second time for South End to donate to the ward. —Caroline Somanje, Staff Writer
